End/ Beginning of the Line-Mile Marker 0 Key West Florida

Key West loves to pride themselves on geography with the most popular tourist site being Southernmost Point Buoy Key West. That landmarker likes to remind people that Cuba is not very far. Key West shops have merchandise dedicated to the Southernmost Point. While it is the most popular of the landmarks in Key West, another landmark in Key West that is also popular enough to have its own souvenir shops.

On the corner of Whitehead St and Fleming St., it is the end point if you are driving south or start point to US Route 1 if you plan to go north with a mile marker that says zero. 

Above the marker, it says Florida Keys Scenic Highway. Many visitors to the marker also commemorate their stop with a photo with the marker.

Also, at the intersection of that corner, two gift shops are dedicated to the marker. Tourists can buy shot glasses, shirts, and even a flag of the marker’s image. So, if you are ever in Key West make sure you get a photo of yourself by that sign! Also, maybe get a souvenir or two.
